Culture is a word that hides great diversity. Culture basically includes everything that is typical for a given country, nationality, minority, or group of people. Music, theater, literature, fine arts. Fashion, gastronomy, and much more. All of this falls under culture. We should be open to culture. It is very important for our development to be a part of cultural life and to learn not only about our own, but also about foreign cultures. This then leads to greater respect, tolerance, and understanding of other cultures, which is a big problem today. Czech culture is beautiful. We have many folk traditions in the country that have been followed for centuries. We have our own important artists, singers, visual artists, sculptors, actors, and writers. For such a small country, our culture is truly rich.

But try to get to know foreign cultures as well. If you object that you don`t have the means or time to travel abroad, that doesn`t matter at all! There are many Prague cultural events in Prague that will transport you abroad even at home.

For example, in the Spanish Synagogue in the center of Prague, amazing classical music concerts take place almost every day. Music is an important part of culture and you should definitely know the works of the most famous greats. The local orchestra will present you with some of the greatest hits from various composers from all over the world. And you don`t even have to leave our country for that.

Prague theaters often host various foreign ensembles, especially for dance and opera performances. This gives you the opportunity to see, for example, a ballet from Great Britain or an opera from France or Spain.In galleries and museums, you can often find exhibitions by foreign authors who exhibit their works in various places around the world.

And let`s not forget about libraries. The libraries in Prague are very extensive and you can find thousands and thousands of works by various authors, from all over the world. You can also find many books here in the original language.
